Schoeps GmbH was established in Karlsruhe, Germany in 1948 so they know a little bit about making condenser microphones. They are, of course amongst the best microphones in the world and are widely used not only in broadcasting and TV/film recording but also in music studios and sound re-inforcement applications.
Here is a small part of their enormous range - if you don't see what you want here please call 029 20342907 and I'll be happy to quote. The usual range of Rycote Softies and full windshields are available.
For a long time Schoeps said they wouldn't make a shotgun microphone because they wouldn't compromise the sound quality to achieve the directional characteristic. Well, now they've achieved it and managed to maintain the audio quality you expect from Schoeps - the CMIT 5 U has a beautiful, natural sound and even off-axis the response doesn't really change, it just gets quieter. The rear lobe also seems to be much less noticeable than with some other microphones. More info...
The SuperCMIT defines a new category of shotgun microphone, with directivity that goes beyond anything previously known. It offers the recording engineer entirely new possibilities. Our price includes Mini-DA42 interface and breakout cable.
For digital inputs that implement the AES 42-2006 standard, new type of digital shotgun microphone with increased directivity, based on SCHOEPS' extremely successful analog model CMIT 5, diffuse sound is suppressed to an extraordinary degree, completely new operating principle with two transducers, uses digital signal processing algorithms from ILLUSONIC (patent pending), two-channel output, with SuperCMIT signal in channel 1 and (direct, single-transducer) CMIT signal in channel 2, SCHOEPS sound quality: transparent sound.
Polarflex Microphone A2P CCM
Create useful, new response patterns and control the balance of direct and diffuse sound across the frequency range. The Polarflex microphone A2P CCM offers the most elegant solution to realize the Polarflex technique. It consists of a special design suspension and two standard CCM microphones CCM 2 (_/S/H) and CCM 8. As the Polarflex microphone results in a single signal, also its look resembles a single classic microphone. Apart from the Polarflex microphone A2P CCM it is possible to experiment with the Polarflex technique using microphones of the SCHOEPS Colette series.
Microphone pair CCM 2 (_/S/H) and CCM 8 with suitable suspension for Polarflex Based on the SCHOEPS Polarflex technique that was presented for the first time in 1998 A Polarflex reference setup consists of the Polarflex microphone A2P CCM and the Polarflex Plug-in Create novel polar patterns, create novel sound characteristics that don’t exist elsewhere Optimally suited e.g. as a vocal microphone or as a stereo spot microphone pair on the piano Tune the sound after/while recording corresponding Plug-in is available for free The output signals of the A2P CCM are processed by the
Polarflex Plug-in .
Plug-in for RTAS, VST, VST3, AU Polarflex With the Polarflex plug-in it is possible to intelligently mix two capsules such that a totally new pattern with its unique sound is created.
Now, what happens in the plug-in?
The Polarflex plug-in mixes two capsules (Omni and Fig-8) in three different frequency bands such that the level and the frequency response of the diffuse sound and with that the directivity of the micro-phone is altered.
The plug-in automatically maintains the overall level at all frequencies which means that every possible setting leads to a potentially useful result. This is computed similarly to a panning knob: The larger the portion of the omni is in the mix, the smaller is the portion of the Fig-8/cardioid.

Schoeps Stereosets Schopes offer pairs of their best-selling Collette series microphones in wooden-cased sets. What follows is the most popular ones that we sell... They are truly things of beauty!
A matched pair of MK41 hypercardioid capsules. Supplied with two CMC 6 analogue pre-amps, two mic clips and a pair of foam windscreens.
A matched pair of MK4 cardioid capsules. Supplied with two CMC 6 analogue pre-amps, two mic clips and a pair of foam windscreens.
Pre-Amps
The CMC6Ug is a 12V - 48V phantom powered pre-amp for use with one of the Collette capsules. Picture shows a CMC6 pre-amp on the left (with capsule supplied separately) and a CMC5 pre-amp on the right. Look similar don't they? More info...
The CMC6xt pre-amp is 12- 48V phantom powered but when used with any of the axially addressed capsules the frequency response is extended to over 40kHz. Any of the other Collette capsules can also be used but the response will not extend as far. More info...

Variable Low-Cut Filter 70Hz / 600Hz

Variable Low-Cut Filter 30Hz / 600Hz

In-Line Low-cut filter - 60Hz
XLR-XLR active low-cut filters for phantom-powered microphones, in particular CCM compact condenser microphones and CMC microphones of the Colette modular system for standard phantom power, 12 V or 48 V These electronic filters can be inserted anywhere in the microphone cable path. With a rolloff of 18 dB/octave, the LC 60 U suppresses low-frequency acoustic interference (e.g. wind noise, or solid-borne infrasonic noise such as handling noise during boom operation) without detracting from the sound quality of voice recordings. Under extreme conditions the LC 120 U can be used, though it may have an audible effect on the sound of a voice. Both filters can help prevent overloading the input circuit to which a micro phone is connected - a problem which occurs more often than many people realize.
These low-cut filters are suitable not only for SCHOEPS microphones but also for phantom-powered microphones of other manufacturers, provided that they have a current consumption of at least 2 mA. Otherwise the maximum sound pressure level would be reduced.
The LC 60 U and the LC 120 differ merely in their cut-off frequencies, these being 60Hz and 120Hz respectively.
In-Line Low-cut filter - 120Hz
As above, cut at 120Hz, may have an audible effect on the sound of a voice.
